As the Chief Operating Officer, Logan Yonavjak brings to Working Lands Soil & Water’s mission her passion for building businesses and her experience guiding capital from origin to implementation. For over a decade, Logan has worked to promote the conservation and restoration of ecosystems through a variety of investment and non-profit roles at organizations like the World Resources Institute, CREO Syndicate, Align Impact, and the Yale Investments Office. Most recently, Yonavjak worked as an independent financial consultant to a variety of clients, including: Working Lands Investment Partners, JumpScale, and LIFT Economy.
Additionally, Yonavjak has co-created a variety of innovative financial models and mechanisms, particularly focused on land conservation and restoration, and has written extensively about how to invest for people, planet, and profit through freelance writing roles at Triple Pundit, NextBillion, ImpactAlpha, and others. She also advises a variety of impact-oriented startups, on both raising capital and reporting impact metrics.
Yonavjak holds a master’s degree in Forestry and an MBA (with a concentration in asset management) from Yale University. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Logan is a Startingbloc Fellow, a Property and Environment Research Fellow (PERC), and a Kinship Fellow. She is also on the Board of Slow Money NYC.
